SEATTLE | TACOMA LICENSE TERMINATION: APPROVED ON 11 MARCH 2014
11 MARCH 2014 UPDATE: With the affirmative vote of 2/3 of the Gray Line Board of Directors, the Licenses for Seattle and Tacoma have been terminated, pursuant to Section 3.11 (b) of the Gray Line Bylaws.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: There are two Licenses currently under threat of termination: Seattle and Tacoma. Letters of Charges for non-payment were issued on January 30, 2014 and emailed to Frank Sherman. Subsequently, they were also sent via Federal Express to both their Seattle and Maryland offices. Despite multiple attempts to communicate with TMS prior to their issuance, there was never a response. 01 MARCH 2014: This was the deadline stipulated in the letter of charges that (a) the amount in default needed to be paid, or (b) the Licensee needed to notify GLWW in writing with an explanation or request for a payment plan, etc. As this deadline has come and gone without a response from the Licensee, GLWW is required to submit the matter to the board of directors for a vote of termination. ![]() COMMUNICATION: Gray Line Seattle and Tacoma have been unresponsive to multiple attempts to contact them. In addition to monthly statements and reminders from our accounting team, there was never any action taken to create their pages on grayline.com, despite many outreach attempts by our product team. As such, there is a "No Products Found" response for anyone searching for Seattle on grayline.com.
On December 18, 2013, I personally wrote to Frank Sherman, informing him of the above and inquiring if there was anything GLWW could do to help. Receiving no response, I followed up on this email on January 29, 2014, in an effort to avoid issuance of a Letter of Charges. Again receiving no response, GLWW drafted and sent a Letter of Charges for nonpayment of Royalties and Fees on January 30, 2014. To date, TMS has not responded to any communication from GLWW on the matter of Seattle and Tacoma. To view this correspondence, CLICK on the link at right.
