Review Analysis: Carrani Tours

TRIP ADVISOR REVIEWS: In Question 12 of the Rome Market Profile Form,  we ask prospective Licensees to comment on their most recent Trip Advisor reviews. Primarily, we look at this data to gauge how companies manage their online review process. The raw data from Trip Advisor would indicate that Carrani Tours is not a great sightseeing operator, with 151 "Poor or Terrible Reviews". This equates to 55% of the Trip Advisor respondents giving Carrani a very negative review score. 

I was impressed with how Carrani understands their own operation and how it parallels with that of many Gray Line Licensees. In their response to question 12, they noted that by not actively cultivating reviews from customers, their Trip Advisor presence is not getting the benefit of positive comments from the more than 120,000 people that travel with them each year. In contrast, their rating on GetYourGuide is completely opposite to Trip Advisor. At GetYourGuide, where reviews ARE cultivated, nearly 80% of customers give Carrani an "Excellent or Very Good" rating, while just 1% rate them as "Terrible".
